On April 24, Monroeville United Methodist Church presented an Autism Awareness Night featuring an expert panel of diverse members of the autism community.
Panelists included, Cindy Duch, parent advocate of the Parent Education and Advocacy Leadership Center (PEAL), Heidi Hess, of the Pittsburgh Chapter of Autism Society of America, Épryl King, public school educator and president of Raising Achievement in Monroeville and Pitcairn (RAMP), and Dr. Dana Monroe, COO and VP of the west region of New Story Schools.
What was shared were the perspectives of these advocacy leaders, research experts, educators, and parents of youth with ASD. Questions and dialogue helped build your knowledge, and contributed to the discourse oo Autism Spectrum Disorders.
